Senior Petrophysicist

Technical CompetencesHave 15+ year of experience in petrophysics.Provide petrophysical support to the Asset Development teams and other ABU assets, as required.Use formation evaluation programs, such as Techlog, to perform a wide spectrum of petrophysical analyses.Development and implementation of petrophysical workflows within the company standard formation evaluation platform (Techlog)Help prepare and review logging programs for Chevron operated exploration, appraisal and development wells.Provide technical support to for both onshore & offshore drilling programmes where required.Evaluate non-operated well results and as required, perform Chevron-standard analyses & generate reservoir statistics for static/dynamic models. Assist earth scientists and reservoir engineers in reservoir model building.Provide technical guidance for routine and special core analysis work programmes.Integrate formation evaluation results with other key disciplines (rock physics, stratigraphy, geologic modelling, reservoir engineering etc.).Provide operational support which might require working outside normal business hours during drilling operations.Participate in peer reviews and petrophysical network activities to share, adopt & disseminate best practices.Generate interpretation reports, covering methodology, results, observations and insights.Complete petrophysics requirements for assurance review teams & RM framework processes.Demonstrate willingness to learn new skills and transfer knowledge to others.Provide mentoring to junior staff.Leadership Behaviours
