Senior Financial Accountant Penguin Random House Australia and New Zealand is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our busy Finance Team based in Dandenong South. The role is full‑time, with a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days working from home. Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit monthly PRH ANZ and related entities flash results/P&Ls, monthly PRH AUS and related entities management reporting packs, quarterly PRH AUS and related entities IFRS statutory reporting packs, and annual PRH ANZ and related entities budget reporting packs. Support PRH ANZ and related entities budgets and forecasts (P&L and B/S) and provide meaningful insights. Prepare annual PRH AUS and related entities AGAAP statutory accounts. Manage month‑end journals and tasks. Review and analyse P&L and monthly results. Complete general ledger reconciliations and maintain the integrity of the balance sheet. Handle IFRS16 lease accounting and reporting. Report and analyse monthly ANZ operating free cash‑flow. Manage external audit relationships and coordinate the annual audit process. Support internal control processes for financial accounting. Provide technical accounting advisory support. Lead projects, process improvements, system enhancements and implementations. Review and update accounting policies. Qualifications CPA or CA qualified. Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. Team‑oriented with a customer‑service focus. High attention to detail and accuracy. Complex problem‑solving skills. Understanding of finance ERP systems and G/L module integration. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Location & Work Arrangements Dandenong South, Victoria, Australia. 3 days in‑office, 2 days remote. Current salary on profile required to view incentives.
