The opportunity Coregas has an opportunity for 1 Maintenance Technician to join our team. The role will be based at our Yennora, Sydney, New South Wales site. The duties will include: Conduct scheduled and reactive maintenance, fabrication, and installation work on production plant and distribution equipment at Coregas branches (Yennora, Wollongong, Ace Cryogenic, Newcastle), ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and operational standards. Perform thorough tests and inspections of systems, components, and installations to verify compliance with technical specifications and regulatory requirements. Assist engineers with the design, layout, and maintenance of systems, including preparing technical drawings and documentation using CAD software or manual drafting. Collect, analyze, and interpret technical data; prepare charts, graphs, and reports to support engineering decisions and drive continuous improvement. Troubleshoot equipment faults and electrical malfunctions, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions to restore optimal operation. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, tests, procedures, and system performance; ensure documentation is complete for work order close out and compliance audits. Manage spare parts inventory, prepare equipment for dispatch to branches, and raise purchase orders for required parts and spares; coordinate timely delivery of equipment and spares. Issue work permits for non-routine maintenance tasks, ensuring all safety protocols are followed and risks are assessed. Identify and report safety and health hazards, incidents, and near misses; enforce compliance with company procedures, laws, regulations, and industry standards. Adhere to Coregas Quality Management System (QMS) and Code of GMP; support internal and external audits, ensure product quality requirements are met, and take accountability for audit actions. Collaborate with engineers, technicians, internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to resolve issues, implement solutions, and achieve business objectives. Participate in training programs as defined in the site training plan; stay updated with technological advancements and industry standards relevant to maintenance and engineering. Actively engage in Coregas business processes, including consultation and feedback sessions, work planning and review, performance development plans (PDPs), team events, and other business communications. Candidates are required to hold relevant trade or degree qualifications and at least 3+ years of experience performing Mechanical/Electrical duties within the oil/gas industry or similar. The remuneration will be $43.924 per hour | $86,794 per annum + superannuation.
