Job Description Join our dynamic Environmental Laboratory team at SGS Notting Hill as a Laboratory Technician and play a key role in delivering accurate, high-quality analytical results that help protect our environment. In this full‑time role, you’ll perform testing and reporting on a variety of sample types — including soil, water, air, and other environmental matrices — using both conventional techniques and cutting‑edge instrumentation such as GC, GC/MSMS, HPLC, LC/MSMS, ICP/MS, and FIA across our Inorganic, Organic, and Radio Chemistry sections. Key Responsibilities Prepare samples and perform analytical and radio chemistry testing, including reporting of results. Conduct laboratory equipment calibrations and routine maintenance. Follow and comply with laboratory QA/QC procedures and NATA accreditation requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and laboratory environment, protecting equipment and preventing contamination. Continuously update skills and knowledge through training and on‑the‑job development. Use safety equipment correctly at all times and report any unsafe conditions or faulty equipment immediately. Undertake other duties as directed by the Team Leader. Qualifications To Be Successful in This Role Tertiary qualification in Science, preferably Chemistry. Experience working in a general laboratory environment is highly desirable. Flexibility to adapt to varying tasks and working hours as required. Additional information WHY WORK FOR SGS?
