Q-Lab Dental is a dynamic, technology-driven dental laboratory based in Perth, Western Australia. We specialise in premium prosthetic restoration products and digital workflows, servicing dentists, specialists, and dental clinics across the region. With an on-site presence within Aria Dental and strong growth across our suburban network, Q-Lab plays a critical role in ensuring precision, reliability, and turnaround efficiency. About the role We're seeking a proactive and commercially minded Business Operations Manager to lead Q-Lab's operational, administrative, and production systems. This pivotal role blends people leadership with business process optimisation ensuring the lab operates efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with broader Aria Group objectives. Key Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate day-to-day laboratory operations, production scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work. Implement and refine workflows, digital systems, and process improvements that drive operational efficiency and cost control. Manage staff rosters, training, and performance, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Partner with the parent company's leadership and clinicians to align Q-Lab's output with strategic and financial objectives. Monitor budgets, analyse productivity and material usage, and prepare regular management and Board reports. Coordinate procurement, stock control, and supplier relationships to ensure seamless production continuity. Lead internal communication between technicians, clinicians, and customer service to ensure projects meet deadlines and specifications. Support new business initiatives, including expanding external lab work and building commercial relationships with other clinics and specialists. About you You are an organised, analytical, and confident leader who thrives on bringing structure and discipline to fast-moving operations. You combine people management ability with sound business judgement and a keen eye for process optimisation. Skills and Experience Proven experience in operations, production, or business management ideally within a dental laboratory, healthcare manufacturing, or precision production environment. Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, cost tracking, and KPI reporting. Demonstrated success implementing systems, workflows, and scheduling tools that improved operational performance. Experience leading and developing multi-disciplinary or technical teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across both clinical and commercial settings. Familiarity with digital workflows and CAD / CAM production processes (highly regarded).
