Position Overview Join Edmen as a casual Residential Youth Worker and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people living in out-of-home care. Partnering with some of Australia’s leading youth service providers, you’ll gain valuable, hands‑on experience every day. This role offers the chance to empower young people to thrive in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment—turning each day into a rewarding adventure. Shift times (these may vary) : AM : 0600 - 1400 PM : 1400 - 2200 SLEEPOVER : 2200 - 0600 Key Duties and Responsibilities Create a Safe and Supportive Home : Foster a secure, nurturing environment for at‑risk youth. Empower Daily Living : Assist with personal care, meals, and hygiene to promote independence. Facilitate Transportation : Ensure young people attend school, appointments, and community activities. Promote Growth : Encourage skill development and socialization within the local community. Manage Health Needs : Administer medications and maintain accurate reporting. Deliver Trauma‑Informed Care : Support youth with complex behaviors using trauma‑informed approaches. Engage in Therapeutic Practices : Participate in the Trauma Recovery framework and complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) within your first three months. What You Need ✅ Hold (or be studying towards) a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child, Youth and Family Intervention or similar (see full list of accepted qualifications on our website) ✅ Australian Drivers License (P2 or higher) ✅ Working with Children Check (Blue Card) ✅ NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) ✅ Current First Aid & CPR certificate ✅ Reliable Vehicle & Vehicle Registration ✅ Comprehensive Car Insurance ✅ Minimum of 3 months paid experience as a Residential Youth Worker ✅ The ability to work a mixture of day, night and weekend shifts as required Edmen Community Staffing Solutions is an employer of equal opportunity and encourages CALD, LGBTQIA+ and First Nations people to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
