Membership Engagement Coordinator (Identified First Nations) Remote/WFH National Indigenous Employment and Training Alliance Pty Ltd. – Brisbane QLD Membership Engagement Coordinator (Identified First Nations Role) – Remote / Work from Home Location: Brisbane-based preferred – other capital city locations may be considered Work Type: Full-time Contract Length: Fixed term till 30 June 2027 Remuneration: $80,000 per annum (excluding superannuation) and access to salary sacrifice arrangement ($15,900 + meal entertainment and holiday accommodation). About Us The National Indigenous Employment and Training Alliance (The Alliance) is a newly established peak body representing the Indigenous employment and training sector across Australia. As a peak body, we advocate for systemic change, building strategic partnerships and deliver evidence‑based Indigenous‑led solutions to drive long‑term impact. The Alliance was born from a shared vision to address critical gaps in support, advocacy and representation with the sector. We work alongside members, government and industry to drive sustainable change, with a vision where Indigenous people are self‑reliant, valued and enjoy economic prosperity. Role Overview The Member Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in coordinating and executing member engagement activities. The role is responsible for membership engagement, including helping to grow the Alliance membership, and ensuring members receive high‑quality support. This role is hands‑on, including contributing to the strategic direction of membership, as well as managing day‑to‑day tasks that align with the organisation's broader goals. Critical to the role is fostering strong relationships with members. The position helps to ensure seamless operations across member services and supports the Engagement & Advocacy team in achieving its objectives. Key Responsibilities Drive Membership and Coordinate the Membership Journey , managing enquiries, onboarding, engagement, and renewals, while ensuring a positive and consistent member experience supported by clean systems and data. Coordinate the Delivery of the Member Service Offering , acting as the primary contact for member support, organising member communications and forums, and ensuring core services are delivered to a high standard. Support Policy and Program Advocacy , staying informed of government policy and sector trends, and channelling member insights to inform strategic decision making and advocacy priorities. Lead Stakeholder Engagement with Cultural Integrity , building respectful relationships across Indigenous and non‑Indigenous stakeholders and ensuring all engagement is culturally grounded and trauma‑aware. Collaborate Across Teams , working with the Office of the CEO and key internal functions to ensure membership activities are aligned, coordinated, and integrated with broader organisational goals. What we’re looking for Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, with strong customer service capability and stakeholder engagement skills. Commitment to advancing the economic interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through employment and training. Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in managing information and relationships. Highly organised and reliable, with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Practical problem‑saver with strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and competency with Microsoft Office. Post‑school or tertiary qualification. Experience working within a member‑based organisation or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisation. Experience in the employment or training sector. Why Join Us?
