Solid Ground Landscaping currently has a new Full Time position (Monday to Friday) for an experienced Landscape Maintenance Gardener who will be responsible for delivering quality landscape maintenance services in a private College in Merrimac. Working as part of a wider team, we have an opportunity available for an enthusiastic, reliable and committed horticulturalist, to ensure that our customer receives the quality and service outcomes expected to keep the College looking its best. About the role As the successful applicant, the Landscape Maintenance Gardener will work across all aspects of garden landscape maintenance including garden upgrades and enhancements. Your duties will include but not be limited to: Mowing using Zero Turn Ride on Mowers (desirable). Push Mowing and brush cutting. Hedging and pruning. Spraying and weeding (pest, disease and weed control). Plant installation and mulching where needed. Irrigation and fertilizing when required. Maintenance of equipment and machinery. About you To be successful in this role, you will need the following: Full Australian working rights (essential). Minimum of 3+ years of landscape garden maintenance experience is required. Physical fitness for working outside in all weather conditions. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A good work ethic focused on delivering quality work. Valid Qld driver's licence (essential). Plant, weed, tree, pest and disease identification knowledge advantageous. Horticulture/Parks and Gardens qualification or relevant experience highly desirable. What we offer Above Award hourly rates (based on experience and qualifications).
