We are seeking a Governance Specialist to support the Spatial Services unit within the Information Technology Services (ITS) branch. This role focuses on designing and implementing governance frameworks for ArcGIS Enterprise, ensuring secure, compliant, and high-quality spatial data management across the organisation. You will work closely with ICT teams and spatial business units to uplift governance maturity and enhance the reliability of spatial content and systems. Key responsibilities Develop governance frameworks for ArcGIS Enterprise, including user roles, access privileges, and content management protocols. Establish governance processes for the spatial data catalogue, ensuring all content is properly registered with complete and compliant metadata. Create and implement standards for publishing, naming conventions, and metadata across spatial content. Ensure compliance with ICT policies, data management standards, and security classifications, while supporting ITSM practices (incidents, problems, knowledge, change, release, configuration, service catalogue, and service levels). Work collaboratively with stakeholders across ICT Spatial Services and spatial business units to understand requirements and drive adoption of governance processes. Deliver training, documentation, and practical guidelines to support ongoing governance implementation. Highly desirable criteria Strong understanding of ArcGIS Enterprise administration and Portal workflows. Experience developing governance processes for spatial systems or enterprise digital platforms. Demonstrated ability to document processes and create clear, practical guidelines. Desirable criteria Experience working within the spatial industry. Familiarity with ICT policy frameworks and spatial data governance principles. Skills and experience Knowledge of spatial data governance and ICT policy frameworks. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Ability to support compliance, risk management, and ITSM functions in a complex environment.
