Engineering Manager - Hands-on - Fintech Engineering Manager (Hands‑on) We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a high‑performing team of software, data, and test engineers. This role is suited to someone who enjoys balancing hands‑on technical delivery with leadership, mentoring, and building a strong engineering culture. What you’ll be doing Lead and mentor a team of 10‑15 engineers in an agile, collaborative environment. Take ownership of key system components, ensuring high‑quality design and delivery. Write clean, efficient code and guide best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. Oversee Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, driving automation and smooth deployments. Manage incidents and ensure timely resolution of issues. Work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver value iteratively and at pace. Champion continuous learning and professional development within the team. What you’ll bring 4+ years’ experience leading engineering teams. Strong leadership and communication skills. Deep technical knowledge in ASP.NET Core, C#, and Entity Framework Core. Experience with modern web application architecture (Blazor or Angular or React, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3). Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure (App Service, Azure Functions, Service Bus) or AWS equivalent. Background in DevOps, CI/CD, and test‑driven development practices. Ability to balance technical depth with business priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Nice to have Understanding of microservices patterns. Exposure to automation and continuous delivery. Knowledge of financial services or financial mathematics. Work environment Hybrid work model: 2 days from home, 3 days in the office (Tues‑Thurs). Location: Melbourne CBD. #J-18808-Ljbffr
