Business manager – Engineering/Fabrication Company Stewarts Engineering is seeking an experienced Business Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our engineering and fabrication company in Esperance, WA. As a full-time position, this pivotal role will be responsible for leading a team of skilled welders, fitters and industrial painters ensuring the efficient and profitable delivery of projects for our valued clients. What you’ll be doing Manage the overall operations of the engineering and fabrication facility, including production planning, inventory control, and quality assurance. Lead, motivate and develop a team of skilled welders, boilermakers and other tradespeople. Oversee the tendering and pricing of new projects, ensuring profitability and competitiveness. Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and deliver projects to their satisfaction. Implement and maintain efficient administrative, financial and reporting systems. Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive continuous operational excellence. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations. What we’re looking for Significant experience in a business management or operations leadership role within an engineering, fabrication or manufacturing environment. Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams. Strong technical understanding of welding, boilermaking and other metal fabrication processes. Excellent commercial acumen, with the ability to understand and manage project financials. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental best practices. Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, business management or a related discipline.
