Access Team Clinician, Part-time/Sessional, TAS - Hobart The Link Youth Health Service – Hobart TAS headspace Hobart is seeking a passionate and motivated Access Team Clinician to join our team. Access Team Clinicians engage, assess, and coordinate care for young people accessing headspace Hobart. This position suits a motivated early-career clinician passionate about youth mental health and collaborative, community-based care. As one of the first points of contact for a young person and their families, the clinician must build strong rapport and show confident engagement skills. The role is 0.9 FTE (Tuesday - Saturday) and includes intake, screening, and biopsychosocial assessments, risk management, brief interventions, and warm referrals to internal and external services. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the clinician contributes to case reviews, treatment planning, and youth mental health promotion activities. Key responsibilities: Conduct intake, screening, and biopsychosocial assessments. Identify and manage risks; develop safety or action plans. Provide brief interventions and coordinate care pathways. Participate in team meetings and case reviews. Support community engagement and youth mental health initiatives. Mandatory requirements: Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Counselling, or Mental Health Nursing. Eligibility for registration with AHPRA or membership with AASW. Experience or strong interest in youth, community, or primary mental health. Excellent engagement and communication skills with young people and families. Commitment to collaborative, ethical, and recovery-focused practice. Current registration with AHPRA or full membership with AASW. Experience in youth mental health, community, or primary care settings. Ability to develop and facilitate group-based interventions.
