About the Role Mandalay Resources is seeking an experienced Workshop Maintenance Foreman – Mobile Equipment to lead and optimize maintenance activities for our mobile equipment fleet at the Costerfield Operations mine site. This critical role ensures equipment operates at peak efficiency with minimal downtime, while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You will manage a skilled maintenance team (including contractors), oversee workshop operations, and provide strategic guidance on fleet performance and selection. The position also involves financial oversight, including budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting for operational and capital expenditure. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the mobile equipment maintenance team, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Develop and enforce strong safety and quality control programs. Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability. Manage workshop budgets, monitor costs, and identify opportunities for savings. Maintain and optimise the Maintenance Management System for accurate scheduling and reporting. Collaborate with stakeholders on fleet planning, upgrades, and performance improvements. Oversee inventory and spare parts management to minimise downtime. About You Trade qualification in Mobile Plant Technology, Heavy Diesel Fitting, Automotive Electrical, or Mechanical Fitting. Proficient in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems. Strong understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and mining regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage budgets and analyse maintenance data for continuous improvement.
