Join CGH as a Food Services Assistant and help contribute to the preparation and delivery of food to the patients/residents About Central Gippsland Health Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a sub-regional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire. CGH is located in the City of Sale which is 215 km east of Melbourne. The City of Sale is an ideal access point for the magnificent Gippsland Lakes, 90 Mile Beach and the Victorian Alps. CGH provides acute care as part of an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond, including a full‑time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services, and general medical and sub‑acute rehabilitation services. CGH also offers aged care and community services, four residential aged home sites in Sale, Maffra and Heyfield, and a range of community‑based services such as Home Support, Commonwealth Home Support Programs and other in‑home services. An allied health team delivers physiotherapy, dietetics, occupational therapy, speech pathology, social work and public dental services. CGH is a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University’s School of Rural Health, and encourages Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to apply. About the Role Food Service Assistants contribute to the preparation and delivery of food to the patients/residents and the maintenance of a clean and safe environment for patients/residents, staff and visitors to Central Gippsland Health. The role upholds high standards of quality care and service, reliability and safety, and supports the organisation’s vision, mission and values. Duties Comply with food safety guidelines, including CGH Food Safety Plan, in the conduct of work activities. Clean and sanitise cooking and food preparation areas. Distribute meals to patients. Wash dishes. Qualifications, Skills and Experience Desirable – Previous experience in food service or hospitality. Salary packaging. Employee Assistance Program. Social Club.
