About The Role As a Cleaner at Gordonvale State High School, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. Reporting to the Principal or a nominated delegate, you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the school by delivering high-quality cleaning services. Key Responsibilities Cleaning and sanitising classrooms, offices, and common areas, including windows, furniture, and equipment. Maintaining toilet facilities, sick bays, and other hygiene-sensitive areas. Performing floor maintenance, including sweeping, vacuuming, buffing, and polishing. Managing rubbish disposal, graffiti removal, and general upkeep of outdoor areas. Ensuring security by locking/unlocking buildings and managing security systems as required. This role would suit a reliable and detail‑oriented individual who takes pride in creating a clean and welcoming environment for others. About You The following traits would be beneficial: Previous experience in cleaning or a similar role. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong communication skills for liaising with school staff and reporting issues. Basic understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
