Actuarial Analyst Overview We have an exciting opportunity for an Actuarial Analyst to join our Sydney-based team on a 12-month contract. The Actuarial Analyst will provide actuarial, analytical, and technical support to the Actuarial Results team. Monthly Actuarial Results including accounting journals for Finance. Quarterly and annual APRA forms. Asbestos valuation report. Consolidated Actuarial Valuation Reports for AAI. Risk margin and claims handling expense reviews. Actuarial, Analytical and Technical Support Includes Data preparation, validation and analysis. Design or assessment of the reasonableness and suitability of models and results prepared. Documentation of processes, analysis and investigations. Preparation of reports to present results. What You’ll Bring Relevant degree in Statistics, Actuarial, Engineering, Mathematics, Econometrics or Computer Science – mandatory. Progression through Part I and II Actuarial Exams – desired. Knowledge of spreadsheet modelling (Excel) and data extraction (SQL or SAS) – preferred. Strong analytical aptitude. Teamwork and effective communication (oral & written). Ability to work independently/with limited guidance to meet deliverables.
