We are expanding rapidly in the Oceania region and are looking for a client‑centric leader to head our payroll operations for Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines. Position Overview As Head of Payroll for Oceania Region, you will lead a diverse onshore (Australia & New Zealand) and offshore (Philippines) payroll team while serving as a trusted advisor and key account manager for BIPO’s external clients. You will combine deep technical payroll expertise with strong consulting and relationship management capabilities to ensure exceptional service delivery, drive new business opportunities, and solve complex client challenges under pressure. You thrive in a fast‑paced, commercial environment and are passionate about delivering measurable value to clients through payroll accuracy, compliance, and innovative HR solutions. Key Responsibilities Payroll Operations Leadership Manage, coach, and develop a diverse onshore (ANZ) and offshore (Philippines) payroll team to deliver accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services. Extend support to the team on complex payroll and human resource information for data input and assist with checking, quality control and maintenance of records to ensure accuracy, service quality and data integrity. Oversee end‑to‑end payroll processing, including salary disbursement, tax & superannuation/KiwiSaver calculations, leave management, overpayment recovery, terminations, and year‑end reporting. Ensure full compliance with local labour ordinances, tax regulations (ATO, IRD, BIR), statutory contributions (Superannuation, KiwiSaver, Pag‑IBIG, PhilHealth, SSS), and other legislative requirements. Partner with internal Project teams on the design, testing, and deployment of BIPO HRMS new payroll or leave features and integrations; maintain existing interfaces to ensure data accuracy and smooth operation. Facilitate the kick‑off meeting and assure the quality of HR Payroll project is confirmed with customer requirements. Perform quality assurance, data integrity checks, and support the team on complex payroll and HR data issues. System Management Manage and optimize the use of BIPO and other software like Butter, ensuring data accuracy and system efficiency. Work with Project, Product team to continue designing and improving payroll process or enhance the function, ensure all controls, systems, and workflows for efficiency and scalability. Client‑Relationship Management Act as the primary point of contact and key account manager for assigned clients in the Oceania region. Identify client needs and collaborate with the team to deliver tailored solutions. Lead client presentations, conduct regular service reviews, and perform on‑site client visits as required. Provide professional HR advisory and human capital management consulting services, including policy formulation, compliance guidance, labour law interpretation, and strategic HR planning. Attend meetings as necessary and assist with HR projects when possible. Attributes / Technical Skills Familiar with local labour law and regulations in Oceania region. Excellent communication, interpersonal and multi‑stakeholder/client management skills. Client service centric mind‑set. Independent and detail‑orientated, able to work in fast‑paced environment. Ability to perform under pressure and limited time and resources. Responsive and deadline‑oriented with a sense of urgency. In‑depth knowledge of HR principles, functions, methods, and best practices. Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to build effective client relationships. Organized and analytical, able to eliminate obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management. Has a proactive approach and is able to influence those executing given solution. Relevant Experience and Qualifications A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is often required. Requires 10+ years of payroll experience, with 5 years in a managerial role. Advanced proficiency in enterprise‑level payroll systems is essential, along with strong skills in Microsoft Excel. Has exposure in employee retention, labour relation organizational effectiveness in an organization. Proficient in MS office. #J-18808-Ljbffr
