About the role Ashurst Labs is the community within Ashurst Advance Digital (AAD) responsible for the firm’s experimentation environment, designing, developing and managing digital platforms, products and solutions. It does this through the three disciplines of software development, product management, and data science. As a result of strategic growth, we are currently looking to hire a Scrum Master in either Brisbane or Melbourne. This is a brand new role focused on supporting the development of new solutions within Microsoft Azure. You will work within our cross‑functional agile teams, and alongside the Labs team to create and support client‑facing solutions and internal initiatives. About you Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Scrum Master role or similar, with a strong focus on agile methodologies and software development. Confidence and fluency in the language and tools of agile, lean and design. Experience working in a software development environment and an excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (definition of done, user stories, TDD, continuous integration, automated testing, backlog refinements). A recognised Scrum Master qualification is preferable (e.g., CSM, PSM). Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira/Atlassian, and other agile project management tools for administration of sprints, delivery of dashboards, reporting and wikis. Solid knowledge of project management fundamentals and practices within an Agile framework. Knowledge and interest in the evolution and transformation of the legal industry. Expertise and interest in generative AI and the risks and opportunities it presents in software tools and the development of those tools. Experience deploying GenAI enabled products or solutions is desirable.
