Requirements for this role: Flexible hours available 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role Expected salary: $37 - $55 per hour Job Title: Disability Support Worker Location: New Norfolk, TAS 7140 About the Role: We are seeking compassionate and reliable Female Disability Support Workers to join our team around Hobart. You will be supporting people with disabilities to live independently, achieve their personal goals, and participate in their community. Duties may include personal care, domestic assistance, community access, transport, and supporting daily living activities in a person-centred way. Key Responsibilities: Provide personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting Assist with meal preparation, household tasks, and medication prompts (as required) Support clients to access the community and attend appointments or activities Encourage independence and support clients to achieve their NDIS goals Maintain accurate progress notes and incident reports Promote safety, dignity, and respect for all clients Essential Requirements: Certificate IV in Disability, or Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Disability) Current and valid Driver’s Licence Comprehensive car insurance (and reliable, roadworthy vehicle) NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC) Working with Children Check (WWCC) Current National Police Check (within the last 6 months) Current First Aid and CPR certificates Valid working rights in AustraliaCOVID-19 vaccination compliance Experience working with people with disabilities or other vulnerable individuals Highly Regarded / Desirable: Manual Handling and Medication Administration training Understanding of person-centred and trauma-informed support Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (morning, afternoon, weekends) Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality Positive, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting others Benefits: Supportive and inclusive team environment Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Opportunities for career growth within the organisation #J-18808-Ljbffr
