Project Plumbing & Maintenance (PPM) is a successful commercial and maintenance plumbing business backed by an industry leading national commercial plumbing Group. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Manager (Plumber) to lead our plumbing maintenance team. This is a leadership role where you’ll oversee critical maintenance operations, guide a skilled team of plumbers and deliver outstanding service to clients across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Position Summary As the Maintenance Manager (Plumber), you will oversee all plumbing maintenance activities, ensuring high-quality standards and client satisfaction. You will lead a team of plumbers, coordinate maintenance schedules, troubleshoot plumbing issues and drive continuous improvement in operations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of plumbers, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient resource use. Maintenance Planning and Execution: Plan and schedule routine maintenance to ensure plumbing system functionality. Coordinate with clients to meet their maintenance needs and expectations. Perform site inspections, troubleshoot issues, and propose repair or replacement solutions. Manage job reports, quotes, invoices, and procurement of materials or subcontractors. Develop maintenance proposals and schedules for new and existing clients. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders and inventory. Prepare reports on performance metrics, resource utilisation, and cost analysis. Ensure all documentation is completed accurately, confidentially, and on time. Client and Relationship Management: Deliver professional and timely services to clients, addressing complaints promptly. Expand client base by following up on leads and managing new and existing contracts. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement programs and share efficient practices during toolbox meetings. WHSE & QA Compliance: Ensure compliance with AS3500, BCA, National Plumbing Code of Compliance (NCC), and ISO9001 standards. Promote a culture of safety and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. Conduct quality checks on completed work and stay updated on industry trends and regulations. About You Strong knowledge of water distribution, wastewater disposal and relevant building codes. Effective communication, planning and problem‑solving skills. Proven ability to plan, prioritise and manage time effectively. Proficiency in MS Office, Aroflow and mobile data devices. Ability to work independently, collaboratively and in a fast‑paced environment. Experience Ideally 5 years of plumbing maintenance experience in commercial or residential sectors.
