Finance Business Partner

We are looking for a motivated, driven and enthusiastic Finance Business Partner to join our fast-paced Finance team. This role reports to the Group Financial Controller and is instrumental part of a growing finance team providing commercial support to one of Australia’s leading financial services organisations. As a finance business partner, you will collaborate closely with the AFG’s Sales & distributions business to provide strategic analysis and commercial insights that guide key business decisions. You’ll proactively lead financial and management accounting initiatives, championing best practices, and fostering continuous improvement. You contribute towards establishing robust revenue & cost reporting frameworks, and driving excellence in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Key responsibilities of this role include: Preparation of monthly financial and management reports and analytics. Finance business partnering with senior management and executives of the business. Budget preparation and forecasting. Maintaining and improving internal financial controls. Managing month end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations and journal posting. Assisting in completion of external audit. Other finance tasks. To be successful in this role you will possess: Degree in accounting or equivalent. Professional accountancy qualifications (such as CPA or CA) preferred. Five plus years' experience in a similar role. Demonstrated expertise and understanding of accounting principles and business partnering. Excellent people and communication skills. Team player with an enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn.
