The Gordon McKay Child Development Unit at Lyell McEwin Hospital is seeking a dedicated Senior Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team. About the Role: As Senior Psychologist, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and diagnosing complex developmental delays and neurodevelopmental disorders, including ASD and FASD. You will: Provide expert psychological assessments and prepare clear, evidence‑based diagnostic reports. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimise outcomes for children and families. Offer consultancy and advice to allied health and medical professionals. Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and research initiatives. About You: You are a highly skilled and passionate psychologist who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. You bring: Qualifications: A degree in Psychology with current registration through the Psychology Board of Australia. Approved supervisor status at all levels (primary and secondary). Experience: Extensive experience assessing and managing children with developmental and neurodevelopmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. A strong background in paediatric psychology and complex case management. Skills & Attributes: Advanced clinical expertise in child development and neuropsychology. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage families and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Leadership capability, including mentoring and supervising staff and students. Strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Postgraduate qualifications in clinical, educational/developmental, or neuropsychology. Experience administering ASD diagnostic tools (e.g., ADOS‑2). Ready to make an impact?
