The opportunities Workforce Australia Employment Services is a key part of Workskills’ service offering in Southern Tasmania, supporting Tasmanians at risk of long-term unemployment. We are pleased to offer multiple ongoing full-time opportunities for motivated and purpose-driven individuals to join our team as Employment Coaches, including both site-based and multi-site roles. Site-based role – Rosny As a Site-Based Employment Coach you will join a dedicated team at our Rosny site, managing your own caseload and delivering high-quality, tailored employment support through face-to-face appointments, group activities, online coaching, and phone-based engagement. Multi-site role, initially based at Glenorchy As a Multi-Site Employment Coach, you will initially be based at our Glenorchy site and then be rostered across multiple Workskills sites to provide continuity of service during periods of leave, and peak demand. You will deliver high-quality, tailored employment support through face-to-face appointments, group activities, online coaching, and phone-based engagement. As an Employment Coach at Workskills, you will work directly with participants to help them move toward meaningful and sustainable employment. Using a person-centred, strengths-based approach, you will identify and connect participants with the right vocational and non-vocational supports to help them thrive. You will be supported to: Provide client-centred, strengths-based coaching for WAS Participants in accordance with the WAS Service Delivery Manual and the WAS Deed. Manage a caseload of WAS Participants to provide individually tailored coaching support, through individual face-to-face appointments; small group activities; online coaching; and phone-based coaching. Meet individual performance targets aligned with the WAS Performance and Quality Framework and contribute to the achievement of team and whole-of-service performance targets. Coordinate with a range of internal supports and external organisations to provide WAS Participants with targeted vocational and non-vocational support; personal and career development activities; education placements; and work placements. About you To be successful in this role you will have: For site-based roles, you will work from our Rosny location, while the multi-site role offers the flexibility to work across multiple Workskills sites as operational needs arise. Ability to deliver, strengths-based, co-designed, client-centred approaches to the development of people The ability to understand the needs of a diverse range of people; facilitate people’s preparation for work and/or education; and support people to achieve employment outcomes The ability to develop skills in case management, tailoring services for individual clients; managing diverse caseloads with empathy and professionalism; apply service guidelines and models; and use digital case management systems Strong interpersonal communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of people, and collaborate professionally with colleagues and external service providers Provision of a current satisfactory National Criminal Record Check, and registration to Work with Vulnerable People in Tasmania.
