Facilities Operations Centre (FOC) Engineer, AWS AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centres and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep the cloud running. We face challenging problems with thousands of variables in the supply chain, and we need talented people to help solve them. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, network, supply‑chain, security, and operations professionals. You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. You’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion. Key job responsibilities Monitor the data centre facilities infrastructure platform. Serve as a point of contact for internal and external teams. Assist with the development of communication and escalation protocols designed to improve the team’s performance. Contribute to outage post‑mortem analysis. Ensure records are updated in a timely manner. Assist with coordination and communication during emergency recovery efforts. Assist with the development of tools that will enhance the team’s performance. Support a 24×7 environment (shift work may require weekends and holidays). Hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance. See for eligibility and suitability. Basic Qualifications High school or equivalent diploma. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of data‑centre engineering experience. Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications. 2+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
