Overview McCosker are experts in the civil construction industry offering a diverse range of services to the mining, construction, building, gas and industrial sectors. The Finance Director is part of the Senior Management Team and is responsible for leading the Finance Department and contributing to the success and sustainability of the Company. Responsibilities Develop and facilitate the delivery of the financial strategy, operational plans and related programmes, ensuring alignment with company strategic and operational priorities. Provide effective insight, informed decision‑making and commercial acumen for the Company and its related entities. Lead the Finance Department, ensuring statutory, taxation and audit compliance, and support organisational governance and risk management. Demonstrate strong business acumen, commercial thinking and link high‑level strategy to operational outcomes. Qualifications Extensive experience in financial management, accounting, management accounting, and statutory, taxation and audit compliance. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, industry standards and associated practices. Experience in strategic planning, organisational governance and risk management. Strong business acumen, commercial thinking and ability to link strategy to outcomes. Stakeholder engagement and management capability, including at director level. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, enabling informed decisions to drive effective organisational performance. Experience supporting change and developing people and teams to improve capability. Expertise in MS Office, ERP systems and reporting (intermediate to advanced). Location The position is based in Gladstone with the Head Office team. Candidates based in Brisbane are also welcome to apply.
