Description: About the PositionAre you passionate about mental health, creative expression, and peer support? Join us as a Mental Health & Wellbeing Support Volunteer and help facilitate group activities, including art therapy, mindfulness, and Hearing Voices Network (HVN) peer support groups.As a volunteer, you’ll support individuals in their recovery journey through creative and social activities. Your contributions may include:Assisting with art therapy and creative workshops Facilitating mindfulness, social, and wellbeing groups Supporting Hearing Voices Network (HVN) peer groups to create a safe space for people to share their experiences Providing companionship and emotional support Encouraging participation and connection in a safe space Marketing and Events Bouncing Back (Men’s Mental Health Program) Why Volunteer with Us?Make an Impact - Help individuals express themselves and build confidence Gain Valuable Experience - Learn about mental health and group facilitation Supportive Team - Work alongside experienced professionals Flexible Schedule - Volunteer at times that suit you About YouTo be considered for a volunteer role, you will need to have;Qualifications And CertificateCurrent National Police Clearance Certificate (no older than six months) A valid First Aid and CPR Certificate (HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid, HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) A current working with Children Check A current NDIS Worker Screening Check Skills And ExperienceA passion for mental health, creativity, and group facilitation Strong communication and empathy skills Reliability and teamwork DesirableLived experience of mental health recovery or as family members of people with a lived experience of recovery is desirable AttitudePositive attitude towards people experiencing mental distress. The ability to live RW values in all workplace tasks and interactions.
