We are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our team at Rosemarie Kirkland Pty ltd in Mackay, Queensland. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dentists and ensuring the smooth running of our dental practice. Work and Lifestyle mix with a shorter week. Tuesday to Friday 4-day work week. Our substantially higher hourly rate allows the successful applicant to make those lifestyle choices. Will consider a traineeship. Trainee wage to be negotiated. Past assistants are welcome to re-apply. What you'll be doing Assisting dentists during dental procedures by handing them instruments, mixing materials, and keeping the work area clean and organised. Sterilising instruments and equipment according to strict infection control protocols. Greeting and welcoming patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and at ease. Maintaining accurate patient records and updating dental charts. Scheduling appointments and managing the patient booking system. Ordering and maintaining supplies to ensure the practice is well‑stocked. Performing general administrative tasks as required. What we're looking for Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent experience. Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, preferably in a similar dental practice setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in using dental software and computer systems. A genuine interest in the dental industry and a commitment to providing high‑quality patient care.
