About The Ville Resort‑Casino Rising from the edge of the Great Barrier Reef, The Ville Resort‑Casino is North Queensland’s premier destination for dining, entertainment and leisure, combining casual sophistication with the vibrant, playful spirit of modern Australia. Our precinct also includes our five‑star luxury hotel Ardo and Townsville Entertainment & Convention Centre (TECC). About the role As a Porter you play an integral part of each guest’s experience, ensuring every guest has an authentic and personal experience, creating a pleasant and memorable visit. Your responsibilities include assisting guests with luggage and valet parking, and responding to guest queries in relation to restaurants, hotel room types, promotions and events. About you Hold a current Class C Driver’s licence with the ability to drive manual transmission Experience in a customer‑focused role, with the willingness to exceed guest expectations Exceptional communication skills, with an immaculate presentation Physical ability to lift and carry luggage and perform tasks requiring moderate physical effort Demonstrated ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment Ability to handle guest luggage in an efficient and secure manner Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Experience with a property management system, in particular Opera Cloud would be advantageous Ability to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays What we offer Competitive pay Generous discounts on accommodation and dining across the precinct Access to special offers with our corporate partners Career pathways with Morris Group businesses all over Australia and abroad Support via our Employee Assistance Program About Morris Group The Ville Resort‑Casino precinct is part of Morris Group: an independent, family‑run business operating a collection of iconic Australian experiences.
