In this key role, you’ll work closely with our Head of Finance and Chief Finance & Operating Officer to help keep our organisation running at its best. Key Responsibilities As the Accounts Receivable Officer, your work will directly contribute to the quality and sustainability of the care we deliver through: Accounts Receivable Duties Prepare and distribute accurate monthly resident invoices and statements. Process payments, journals, credits, and interest on arrears. Maintain resident and customer master files for accurate billing. Reconcile debtor’s ledger with general ledger control accounts. Generate aged debtor reports and follow up on overdue accounts. Liaise with residents, families, and third‑party agencies for debt recovery. Process refunds and sundry charges. Ensure proper filing of all AR‑related documentation (electronic and hard copy). Providing high‑quality financial services, analysis, and reporting to internal stakeholders. Supporting continuous improvement across all Accounts Receivable processes and contributing to the development of internal systems. Staying abreast of industry and regulatory changes relevant to aged care accounts receivable matters. Assist in preparing financial reports for audits and funding submissions. Support the Admissions Manager/Coordinator with financial aspects of resident onboarding. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including WHS and aged care standards. Systems & Data Management Use financial software such as Techone or other for billing systems and reporting. Reconcile direct debit and Centrepay payments. Maintain accuracy in client management and accounting systems. Customer Service & Communication Respond to resident and family account inquiries with professionalism and empathy. Provide support to internal stakeholders. Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing issues. Upholding Work Health & Safety requirements and contributing to a safe, respectful work environment. Providing relief for the administration staff during absences as needed. About You We’re searching for a dedicated, detail‑driven professional with a strong grasp of accounts receivable functions and a desire to make a difference within a purpose‑focused organisation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate: Certificate III in Business or equivalent experience. Minimum 5–10 years in accounts receivable, preferably in aged care or healthcare. Strong understanding of aged care billing processes and government funding mechanisms. High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer‑focused mindset. Proven time management and problem‑solving abilities. A strong alignment with Warrina Homes’ Christian values. Valid police clearance for aged care and current driver’s licence. Desirable Qualifications and Experience Previous experience in aged care or a similar sector. Experience with salary packaging and aged care financial systems. Understanding of the needs of older people and their care needs. Experience in the not‑for‑profit sector.
