The Role Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will manage end to end fixed asset and lease accounting across multiple entities. You will deliver disciplined month end outcomes, support year end statutory reporting, and provide reliable inputs to FP&A. Duties will include, but not be limited to: Month end and year end reporting, prepare journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis for fixed assets, WIP, depreciation, and leases, produce note disclosures and audit support packs Asset register ownership, maintain complete records for additions, disposals, transfers, revaluations, and write downs, ensure capitalisation aligns to policy and AASB 116 including componentisation and unitisation from WIP Lease database ownership under AASB 16, maintain master data and lifecycle events, calculate and post ROU asset and lease liability entries, interest and amortisation, manage modifications and CPI resets SAP processes, operate fixed asset and lease modules including SAP or RE FX or equivalent, reconcile subledgers to the GL, resolve exceptions before close, maintain master data integrity Consolidation and intercompany, confirm balances, process eliminations, and ensure integrity of consolidation journals for asset and lease related accounts Capex governance and project accounting, manage approvals against delegations, track budget to actuals, reconcile WIP to source systems, partner on in service dates and close outs Controls and policy compliance, maintain procedures for fixed assets and leases, evidence key controls, remediate gaps, coordinate periodic asset counts and tagging Tax and cash flow alignment, reconcile book to tax registers, support tax depreciation and effective life differences, prepare cash flow workings that reconcile to the GL ASX and FP&A support, provide accurate schedules for inputs and board reporting, supply FP&A with actuals and drivers for budgets and forecasts, explain variances clearly Skills and Experience CA or CPA qualified, or near completion, with strong knowledge of AASB 116, AASB 16, and AASB 136 Experience managing fixed asset and lease accounting in a complex or listed environment Confidence in SAP and Excel, strong reconciliation discipline, and effective communication with finance and operations Strong Excel skills and exposure to complex consolidations and entity structures Strong technical accounting skills and background Positive energy, and passion for supporting the business team to deliver strong business outcomes quickly Strong organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise responsibilities to meet strict deadlines Strong interpersonal and communication skills About You Your work will improve the accuracy of reported asset and lease values, strengthen governance, and provide leadership and FP&A with reliable information on capital spend, lease commitments, and asset performance.
