Are you an accomplished Employee Relations professional ready to take on Australia’s most complex workplace challenges? JLL is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Lead to serve as our key subject‑matter expert, guiding our organisation through the evolving landscape of Australian employment law while championing a constructive and respectful workplace for all. The role will report to our Head of HR Australia & NZ. Based from either our Sydney or Melbourne office, this strategic opportunity combines high‑level advisory work with hands‑on case management, offering the chance to directly influence workplace culture across one of the world’s leading commercial real estate organisations. What You’ll Own: Strategic Case Leadership. Lead thorough, impartial workplace investigations covering grievances, misconduct, bullying, and harassment matters. Provide expert guidance on disciplinary processes, ensuring procedural fairness and legislative compliance. Represent JLL at external tribunals including Fair Work Commission proceedings and state‑based Industrial Relations Commissions. Drive commercially sound outcomes while mitigating organisational risk. Expert Advisory & Compliance. Deliver pragmatic, commercially focused advice on terminations, organisational change, and M&A transitions. Navigate complex state and territory‑based entitlements including WHS and Long Service Leave provisions. Interpret and apply Modern Awards, Fair Work Act, and relevant state legislation. Develop and implement Employee Relations policies aligned with best practices and JLL culture. Strategic Insights & Development. Analyse Employee Relations data to identify internal and market trends. Provide proactive insights to inform future HR strategy and interventions. Design training programmes for managers on performance management, WHS, and psychosocial hazards. Facilitate mediation and conflict resolution to promote constructive workplace outcomes. What You Bring: Minimum 7 years of dedicated Employee Relations, Workplace Relations, or specialist HR advisory experience. Deep, contemporary knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Modern Awards, and Fair Work Act 2009. Proven expertise in state‑based legislation across different jurisdictions including WHS and Long Service Leave. Demonstrated experience leading complex workplace investigations. Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or related discipline. Exceptional influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex information. High personal resilience, discretion, and integrity. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with solutions‑focused mindset. Proven ability to lead through influence and collaboration in matrix environments. Experience with external tribunal representation. Background in large, complex organisations. This is a full‑time position requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
