Overview Permanent Full-Time Role: Secure a long-term position with Downer. Competitive Rate: EBA rates $37.50 + Penalties + Site allowances. Residential Roster: 56 hours per week – Monday to Friday (10 hours) and Saturday (6 hours). Convenient Location: Working at BlueScope Steel, Port Kembla, NSW. Supportive Environment: Tight‑knit team focusing on Zero Harm. Responsibilities As an Electrical Trades Assistant you will: Install cable ladders and handle cabling. Perform store duties. Assist with the Electrical and Instrumentation installation for the Number 6 Blast Furnace Project. Qualifications Site Proficient – experience working as a Trade Assistant within a heavy industry environment. Technically Proficient – safe use of hand tools and equipment required to perform tasks. Team Oriented – ability to work effectively within a team with well‑developed communication skills and a commitment to safety. Site Qualifications – full working rights in Australia, White Card and a Driver’s Licence. Willingness to undertake a pre‑employment medical.
