Requirements for this role: Looking for candidates available to work: Mon morning Tue evening Tue morning Wed evening Wed morning Thu evening Thu morning Fri evening Fri morning Sat evening Sat morning Sun evening Sun morning 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role Expected salary: $25 - $40 per hour Looking For Fusion/Tapas Chef Location: Hawthorn, 3122 About the Role Create and execute inventive fusion/tapas dishes (Asian, Mediterranean, Latin, etc.) Lead daily prep, cooking, plating, and consistency in service Maintain high kitchen standards, food safety (HACCP), and cost control Supervise and train junior chefs, ensuring smooth service flow Work with local suppliers to source fresh, seasonal ingredients Assist with menu planning, specials, and new dish development What We’re Looking For 1+ years experience in tapas, fusion, or modern small plates Strong culinary creativity and flavour understanding Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment Leadership, communication, and time‑management skills Solid knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and cost control Culinary qualification preferred (Cert III/IV or equivalent) Experience & Qualifications (Industry Standard) Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef, Sous Chef, or Tapas/Fusion Specialist. Experience working in modern restaurants, lounges, tapas bars, or fine‑casual dining spaces. Formal culinary qualification (Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent) preferred. HACCP certification or strong knowledge of food safety compliance. Experience supervising kitchen staff and managing sections independently.
