About the role: Are you a passionate Speech Pathologist looking to join a team and meet the growing demand within the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) sector? As a Speech Pathologist, you will be crucial in providing assessment, therapy, and support to individuals with communication and swallowing difficulties. You will collaborate as a part of the multidisciplinary team, working alongside occupational therapists, dietitians, and other professionals to provide comprehensive and integrated care to the participants. Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine participants' speech, language, and swallowing needs. Designing individualized therapy plans and interventions to address participants' communication and swallowing goals. Advocating on behalf of NDIS participants to ensure they receive the necessary support and services. Writing detailed reports in compliance with NDIS requirements to document assessment findings, therapy progress, and recommendations. Collaborating with support coordinators, local area coordinators, and families to ensure effective communication and coordination of services. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with occupational therapists, dietitians, and other professionals to provide holistic care. All report writing can be done remotely, allowing you to complete administrative tasks comfortably and conveniently. Sourced and Booked Appointments: To facilitate your workflow, they source and book appointments for you. The team actively manages participant schedules and ensures that you have a steady flow of appointments, enabling you to focus on delivering exceptional speech pathology services. Essential Criteria: NDIS experience Qualification as a Speech Pathologist, holding a recognized degree or equivalent. Registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., Speech Pathology Australia). Experience in conducting assessments and providing therapy to individuals with various communication and swallowing difficulties. Knowledge of different conditions, including neurological disorders, ASD, psychosocial challenges, and their impact on communication and swallowing. Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technologies. Strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare reports, liaise with stakeholders, and effectively communicate with participants and their families. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, valuing teamwork and interprofessional collaboration.
