They’re searching for a Digital Performance Manager who lives and breathes acquisition, retention, and data‑driven digital funnels. This is a newly created role with real ownership, joining a scaling‑up function with funding, leadership backing, and the freedom to create. Attractive Salary $130,000 – $140,000 Base + Super + Bonus Hybrid : WFH Mondays, early finish Fridays (~1pm) (unless urgent deadlines) CBD Office Locations | Amazing Set Up Work closely with the Head of Digital Marketing Join a function with serious investment behind it Freedom to create, test, and build digital performance funnels 5 weeks annual leave (+ working Melbourne Cup) Succession planning : this role has genuine pathway to senior leadership Work across betting apps + website with national brand reach Build and optimise across acquisition, retention, CRM, SEO, SEM, content, paid, and customer journeys Your next company & team This is a sports + wagering + digital-first business in a state of growth, backed by a bold 3‑year strategy. They’re pushing hard on brand, digital presence, and customer experience. Working closely with the Head of Digital Marketing (hands‑on, great leader) and collaborating with Automation, Social, Product, Creative, and external partners (Google, Meta, Apple). It’s fast, commercial, data‑driven, and ideal for someone who loves sport, racing, markets, and measured outcomes. They want someone who understands the wagering mindset — either professionally or personally (Betfair, racing, fantasy, sports syndicates, etc.). What You’ll Do Own end‑to‑end performance marketing: planning, execution, optimisation, reporting Manage paid search (Google Ads – Search/PMax/Apps), Display, YouTube, Meta, ASA Optimise acquisition funnels across app & web to deliver CAC and conversion targets Manage conversion tracking, tags & triggers through GTM + platform tools Monitor, analyse, and report on performance using GA4, AppsFlyer, Amplitude, Power BI Identify growth opportunities, new tactics, and emerging digital trends Collaborate with Social, CRM/Automation, Creative, and broader Marketing teams Manage relationships with Google, Meta, Apple & key external suppliers Ensure all campaigns comply with wagering regulations & advertising standards Support broader digital marketing initiatives as required You’ll Thrive Here If You… Love analysing numbers and turning them into action Follow sports/racing and understand punter behaviour Enjoy ownership, pace, and accountability Can collaborate with multiple teams without losing focus Want the freedom to innovate in a scaling digital function This Role Isn’t For You If… You’ve never touched or engaged with wagering / racing / sports You want a slow, corporate environment You need heavy structure or layers of sign‑off You don’t enjoy pace, ambiguity, or “figure it out” energy Must‑Haves Must have experience in wagering / sports OR personal engagement in wagering/sports/racing (e.g., Betfair, multis, form analysis, syndicates) Must have 3+ years in performance marketing, digital marketing, or paid media Strong hands‑on experience across: Google Ads (Search, PMax, Apps, Display, YouTube) Meta Business Manager Apple Search Ads Comfortable implementing and optimising tracking (GTM, GA, AppsFlyer) Data‑driven — you think CAC, ROAS, attribution, funnel health Knowledge of SEO & ASO (supporting holistic performance) Excellent communicator who can influence stakeholders with insights Passionate about sports, racing, betting markets, or customer behaviour Thrives in a fast, flat, commercial environment with pace and autonomy Data‑focused operator comfortable with CAC, volume metrics, ROAS, attribution Strong communicator with the ability to present performance to leaders Nice‑to‑Haves Experience in betting, sports tech, racing, gaming, or sports media Salesforce CRM experience Exposure to brand relaunches or high‑growth digital teams Hiring Process Step 1: Apply & complete basic screening questions Step 2: If aligned, receive alignment survey Step 3: alignment call with Alignr Step 4: Interview with Head of Digital Marketing & Chief People Office Step 5: Final interview with the Chief Marketing Officer Step 6: Offer & onboarding plan Next steps from here?
