Speech Pathologist – Paediatrics (Clinic-based) Croydon, VIC Level 2 position: $92K–$100K pro rata + super + PD package Level 3 position: $106K–$112K pro rata + super + PD package Full time ideal, with part time options available About Us Playology Clinic is a therapist-owned paediatric allied health clinic in Melbourne’s outer east. We combine the heart of a not-for-profit with the flexibility of private practice. Our values-driven team of allied health therapists, therapy assistants and admin staff work collaboratively to support children, teens and families in meaningful, neuroaffirming ways. We’re excited to be launching Speech Pathology services in 2026 following strong demand from families who value the collaborative, neuroaffirming care offered at Playology. This role offers the opportunity to be part of shaping a new service stream within an established multidisciplinary team. We are aiming to appoint a minimum of two speech pathologists for 2026 start. What We Offer ✨ Salary: $92,000 – $112,000 pro rata (exclusive of super + PD + benefits) ✨ Professional growth: $2,000 pro rata PD budget + one week (pro rata) paid study leave ✨ In-house PD series: "Growing Together" series with guest facilitators (2025 included DIR/Floortime, Learn to Play, Bridges Out of Poverty + more). This series is in addition to personal PD budgets and time. ✨ Wellbeing-first: manageable caseloads + regular reflective supervision + wellbeing program ✨ Collaboration: work alongside psychologists, OTs, therapy assistants, and onsite partners ✨ Flexibility: realistic workloads and a calendar that works for you Your Role Deliver high-quality, neuroaffirming speech pathology supports to children and adolescents Assess and support speech, language, literacy, feeding and social communication needs Provide therapy that is strengths-based, practical, and embedded into everyday environments Collaborate with psychologists, OTs and therapy assistants to support generalisation of skills Contribute to multidisciplinary formulation and team discussion Keep records up to date and contribute to a positive, supportive team culture Partner with therapy assistants to embed strategies in natural settings About You Qualified Speech Pathologist, with Speech Pathology Australia membership Allied Health Award Level 2 or Level 3 experience (or ready to step into either level) Passion for paediatric practice and neuroaffirming care Skilled in assessment, intervention, and collaborative practice Committed to strengths-based, neuroaffirming care Current WWCC Bonus if you bring Experience with NDIS participants Confidence working across clinic, school and home environments. We are a clinic-based service, but value working alongside children's natural environments as required (e.g. observation sessions, care team meetings, etc.) Special interest in early communication, literacy, and/or feeding Interest (or training) in orofacial myology.
