Required Information : Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers is a leading Australian manufacturer focused on fertilizer production and sustainable energy solutions. With a commitment to innovation and efficiency, PCF is developing Project Ceres, which is Australia's largest urea manufacturing plant, located in Karratha, Western Australia. Description: Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers is looking for an Environmental Officer responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating risk management policies and programs. The successful candidate will secure and maintain all necessary environmental regulatory approvals and support third-party contracts and services in consultation with the General Manager – Health, Safety, Environment & Heritage for the successful completion of the project. Responsibilities Preparing documents and correspondence related to complex environmental assessments. Undertake inspections / compliance assessments and compliance investigations of operations to determine compliance with industry legislative requirements. Reviewing all current approvals and checking for compliance or other environmental issues. Reviewing ISO documentation including but not limited to Risk Registers and Environmental Management Plans. Carry out further Environmental Approvals inspections, monitoring and incident investigation as they arise. Ensure all approvals related to reportable incidents are investigated and appropriately communicated. Skills and Experience A Bachelor of Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management Degree or an approved equivalent scientific degree. 2-5 years' experience in an associated environmental approvals or Government sectors. Experience in auditing / inspections of environmental approvals within a dynamic working environment. Ability to work with consultants and complete Health and Safety requirements for Environmental Surveys. Ability to work with the Exploration / Resource Development leadership team and form positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to interpret legislation.
