Call Alicia for a confidential chat on or apply below About the role The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the commercial cleaning business, ensuring the efficient delivery of cleaning services across multiple sites. This role involves managing staff, coordinating schedules, maintaining client relationships, managing client contracts, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and driving operational efficiency. The Operations Manager plays a key role in supporting business growth, staff development, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Tasks & Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of cleaning teams across all job sites, ensuring that cleaning services are delivered to the highest standards Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure consistent quality of service Coordinate staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage of all job sites, managing shifts, absences, and last-minute changes Ensure all equipment and cleaning products are available and properly maintained for each site Prepare and submit quotes for new cleaning jobs, while managing and overseeing client contracts to ensure services meet contractual obligations and maintain strong client relationships Lead, mentor, and support Team Leaders, Supplies Coordinators, and cleaning staff, fostering a positive work environment Encourage training and development opportunities for staff, focusing on improving cleaning techniques, safety practices, and customer service Act as the primary point of contact for all clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded Conduct regular client meetings and site visits to assess service quality and address any client concerns or requests. Work with clients to develop customised cleaning plans based on their specific needs. Address any client complaints promptly and take corrective action to prevent future issues. Health and Safety Health & Safety Compliance Financial and Resource Management Skills & experience Proven experience (5+ years) in a managerial or operations role, ideally within the commercial cleaning, facilities management, or similar service industry Strong understanding of cleaning processes, equipment, and industry best practices Experience managing large teams, including recruitment, training, and performance management Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interaction Proficiency in using technology platforms for operations management (e.g., ServiceM8 or similar Valid driver's license (essential for site visits and staff supervision Benefits & Perks An elite, fast growing team that values hard work and dedication Lead mentor and shape the next generation of cleaning professionals Established local business that is experiencing growth About the company A highly regarded, locally owned and operated cleaning company that has proudly serve the Central Queensland region for over a decade.
