Overview This is an exciting opportunity to join GE Oil & Gas working for the VetcoGray Asia Pacific Service Group. We currently have an opening for an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to join our Field Service Team based in Perth. Reporting to the Services Operations Manager, the Lead Field Technical Engineer (Controls) will actively participate in the manufacturing and testing of control system equipment, including extended factory acceptance and site integration. You will also be involved in the installation, commissioning and maintenance of Subsea Control System equipment and be pro-actively involved in product improvement and resolution of technical problems. You will be the key interface with clients on field services delivery. This is also an excellent leadership opportunity, as we will look to you to mentor and guide the controls engineering team. Responsibilities Actively participate in the manufacturing and testing of control system equipment, including extended factory acceptance and site integration. Involve in the installation, commissioning and maintenance of Subsea Control System equipment and contribute to product improvement and resolution of technical problems. Serve as the key interface with clients on field services delivery. Provide leadership to mentor and guide the controls engineering team. Establish and maintain adequate plans at different levels for Subsea control system projects either as part of Integrated System (EPC) projects or as separate delivery projects. Collect information and prepare weekly and monthly reports as required by Vetco Gray or by the Client. Design and modification on Subsea Intervention equipment. Specification and follow up on internal and external engineering service providers. CAD modelling and drafting. Writing procedures, manuals and reports, updating documentation and drawings, and creating part and document structures in the electronic documentation system. Qualifications Experienced Senior Controls Engineer with a track record in field service and leadership responsibilities. Ability to lead and mentor a controls engineering team and coordinate with clients and field personnel. Experience with Subsea Control Systems, manufacturing/testing, installation, commissioning, and maintenance is advantageous. Lead Field Technical Engineer Related Positions #J-18808-Ljbffr
