About the role Be a positive contributor to the team and deliver high quality education and care in accordance with National Quality Framework/CCC’s policies and procedures Use your knowledge and experience to develop and implement customised educational programs in line with the EYLF learning outcomes and individual needs and interests of children Support the team, assist with problem solving, and offer great ideas to keep our activities fresh and relevant Build relationships with children, families and carers to make them feel welcome and connected in our education and care community Take a responsible and professional approach to supervision of children and their overall wellbeing Complete relevant documentation and administration associated with the position Qualifications and skills Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Current First Aid Certificate including CPR and Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management (HLTAID012 or equivalent) Current Working with Children Check and evidence of necessary vaccinations. Previous experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care environment. Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and early childhood practises. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to creating a safe and engaging learning environment for children. You should be able to build effective relationships with children, parents, and colleagues while embracing teamwork and collaboration. Other important information This role provides a competitive salary from $66k – $76.5k per annum dependent on skills and experience + 12% superannuation. We have a temporary part-time position available at our Kariong Centre. Successful candidates will be required to undertake a course of vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B, Tetanus (Boostrix), MMR and Varicella or demonstrate their immunity. CMV screening will be required. Council will be creating an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
