Senior Technical Business Analyst (Telecom Data Focus) We are seeking a highly experienced and diligent Senior Technical Business Analyst to join a strategic, high‑visibility initiative focused on enhancing compliance and improving operational resilience across critical network services. This role is central to defining the data blueprint for mission‑critical systems and ensuring they meet rigorous regulatory and functional standards. As the key translator, you will bridge complex business mandates with robust technical solutions. Your primary responsibilities involve deep analysis, mapping, definition, and meticulous documentation of every crucial data field, data flow, and technical integration point. You will partner closely with stakeholders and development teams, ensuring that all system interactions are built upon clear, accurate, and compliant data specifications. Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Seniority level: Mid‑Senior. Employment type: Full‑time. Job function: Information Technology. Industries: IT Services and IT Consulting. Qualifications Extensive background as a Technical Business Analyst in a telecom or related critical network service provider environment. Expert‑level knowledge of OSS/BSS systems, their data models, and complex end‑to‑end operational workflows. Strong proficiency in SQL and data analysis, with proven capability in interrogating and managing large, complex datasets. Highly skilled in technical documentation, delivering precise artefacts such as data dictionaries, field specifications, detailed DFDs, and robust API documentation. Deep familiarity with modern integration patterns, ETL processes, and stringent data governance principles applicable in a regulated environment. Exceptional communicator, adept at leading discussions with senior stakeholders and providing clear technical guidance to developers. Experienced operating in structured Agile/Scrum environments, leveraging tools like JIRA and Confluence for requirement management.
