Job description SK DIESEL MECHANICAL REPAIRS is a well-established and respected name in the automotive repair industry, specializing in diesel and mechanical services. We are located in the industrial hub of Rocklea, providing a dynamic workshop environment with access to modern equipment and a strong, supportive team. The Role We are seeking a fully Qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our expanding team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, with a focus on providing high-quality, efficient service to our customers. Key Responsibilities Your key responsibilities will include Diagnosing and Repairing: Identifying mechanical and electrical faults in engines, steering, braking, suspension, and other vehicle systems. Performing Servicing: Conducting routine log services, safety inspections, and preventative maintenance. Diesel Expertise Performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines and their complex fuel injection systems. (Experience with diesel is highly valued). Overhauling and Replacing Replacing and repairing worn and defective parts, and performing engine and transmission overhauls. Testing Safety Using diagnostic equipment, test-driving vehicles, and ensuring all work meets required safety standards. Customer Service Providing clear explanations of repairs and offering expert advice to customers. Workshop Standards Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will have: A relevant trade qualification as a Motor Mechanic (Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis or equivalent). Proven experience in a similar workshop environment. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
