EML Group EML is a leading Workers Compensation and Personal Injury Claims Management business based in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. With over 4,000 employees, we focus on supporting people through their return‑to‑work journey. Role Overview This full‑time, permanent position is based in the Newcastle office with flexibility to work from home up to three days a week. The role is responsible for pro‑actively and effectively managing end‑to‑end workers compensation claims, including disability management aspects, in a self‑insured environment. As a senior team member, you will coach colleagues and handle escalations. Your Responsibilities Prepare and implement strategies to achieve optimal outcomes and minimise claim costs. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to progress strategies and actions. Assess liability and recovery aspects relevant to legislation or policy while reviewing entitlements and payments. Proactively manage rehabilitation providers and approve rehabilitation and wellness plans in line with self‑insurance guidelines. Conduct health promotion activities to enhance customer wellbeing and empower self‑management. About You Minimum of 2 years experience in the workers’ compensation industry. Empathetic, resilient, and customer‑centric approach. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent stakeholder engagement and management.
