Join us in making a difference The Role We are on the lookout for an experience Cook to join the team at Total Catering Solutions. This is a permanent part-time role working 48 hours per fortnight. You’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking meals, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, and maintaining high-quality production in line with the company’s guidelines. Additionally, the primary workplace for Catering Solution will change to Wangara. Please note, you must be able to commit to all days / shifts to be considered. Key Responsibilities Prepare recipes, cook / chill production as required. Ensure production is completed in line with the appropriate legislative guidelines e.g. Cook / Chill guidelines, Aged Care specifications (when working on the Aged Care production) Adhere to the TCS HACCP program (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control points); completion of required paperwork within your section e.g. time and temperature, batch number, expiry date. Ensuring your work area is kept clean and hygienic. Bring any equipment issues or hazards to the immediate attention of the Production Manager. Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and a neat, clean appearance at all times. Take responsibility for a safe working environment in order to prevent injury to self, fellow staff members and others. To ensure compliance with Amana Living policies and procedures. Complies with infection control standards and practices. Attending mandatory training as required, e.g. fire evacuation. Essential Criteria Successful completion of pre-medical form, pre-employment physical and reference checks Demonstrated experience in the preparation, cooking and serving of meals in a similar environment Current trades certificate in Cookery (mandatory for the chef) Valid Police Clearance no older than 6 months (or ability to obtain at interview stage) Demonstrated good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Current knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health kitchen / food production environment Evidence of current Flu and Covid Vaccinations Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test Available to attend a compulsory 1-Day (Monday to Tuesday) induction at our Rivervale Training Institute How to Apply If you are interested in this role and meet the essential criteria, please click the “apply now” button.
