Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 – Eating Disorder Service NSW Health – Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) Employment type: Temporary Part‑time until 23 June 2026 (potential for ongoing employment) Classification: Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 Remuneration: $58.83 – $60.76 per hour Hours per week: 14 Requisition ID: REQ About the Service NSLHD Eating Disorder Service provides a trauma‑informed, culturally responsive, evidence‑based nursing service for adults (≥18 years) with eating disorders and their families/carers. The role is delivered primarily through telehealth and virtual care models, supporting post‑discharge care, primary‑care screening, assessment and treatment, and acting as a liaison point for clinicians and consumers. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care and consultation using CBT‑E, Family Based Therapy, and other evidence‑based interventions. Deliver telehealth and virtual care sessions to support consumers and families following discharge. Assist GPs and primary‑care clinicians with screening, assessment and treatment of eating disorders. Serve as a liaison for clinicians, consumers, and families to navigate appropriate care pathways. Provide clinical leadership, support and supervision of less experienced clinicians across inpatient, community and primary‑care settings. Plan and coordinate specialist nursing services across the eating disorder spectrum of care. Candidate Requirements Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners' Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and relevant post‑registration qualifications. At least three (3) years full‑time equivalent clinical experience working with adult consumers with eating disorders, or equivalent experience. Advanced clinical knowledge in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of feeding and eating disorders, including CBT‑E, Family Based Therapy, trauma‑informed care and telehealth. Advanced clinical reasoning, advocacy and care‑planning skills to organise appropriate health care for patients and families. Other Requirements NSW Health Category A position requiring immunisation and screening for certain diseases.
