Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer. This role will ensure the Optimizely platform is updated to .NET Core and a new version of Optimizely is deployed and improve website functionality with respect to member services, e-commerce, and marketing functions. Responsibilities Lead software development on the Australian Industry Group digital platforms (Optimizely), focusing on .NET Core upgrades, functionality improvements and new features development. Work closely with key stakeholders to define architectural decisions and functionality for the short and long term roadmap. Work with internal stakeholders to capture business requirements to update existing functionality, build out new functionality, undertake testing and plan deployments. Adhere to best practice development principles – including documentation, testing, devops repository, security etc. Supporting the wider Marketing team in appropriate areas, including web production, projects, etc. Engage in discussions beyond just coding – be involved in the entire tech ecosystem. Qualifications 3+ years of hands‑on development using Optimizely CMS & Commerce – Essential. Strong proficiency in C# and ASP.NET Core. Solid understanding of software engineering best practice; design patterns, continuous integration, application security. Experience integrating Optimizely with third‑party systems. Comfortable working across both front‑end (React) and backend to build high‑quality solutions. API and event‑based integration methods. A proactive and solutions‑oriented mindset. Sound communication skills, including the ability to relate to people at all levels in a consultative and participative manner.
