Sales Assistant Senior

Join to apply for the Sales Assistant Senior role at PPG . We are looking for a dedicated, dynamic Sales Assistant to join our team on a full‑time basis at the Taubman’s Trade Centre in Myaree. The ideal candidate is passionate about customer service and eager to learn and develop in their career. The role is 38 hours per week, rostered within the store’s opening hours (6:30 am–4:30 pm, occasional Saturday shift 7 am–11:30 am). No prior paint or hardware knowledge is required; full product training will be provided on the job. Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service and establish relationships with our customers Collaborate with the Store Manager, Store team & Trade team to improve sales potential within the store Tint and mix paint, pelletise paint drums, arrange orders for delivery, and match colours Deliver items using the store vehicle (where applicable) Merchandise and replenish stock promptly, ensuring it is presented well Maintain store housekeeping and follow the store’s safety standards Perform manual handling of up to 32 kg (lifting, pushing/pulling trolleys, using pallet jacks, standing/kneeling, loading the ute for paint deliveries) Requirements Previous retail assistant experience with a commitment to excellent customer service Desire to learn new skills and build expertise on our products Flexibility to work a 38‑hour roster (6:30 am–4:30 pm Monday‑Friday, occasional Saturday shift) Comfortable with manual handling duties, including lifting heavy paint tins (up to 32 kg) and loading the ute for deliveries A valid driver’s licence is essential Paint experience is not essential – training is provided What We Offer Opportunities for development and long‑term career progression Incentive bonuses based on store performance Access to corporate discounts, including WhereFit, for wellness benefits Giving back to local communities through the PPG Colourful Communities program PPG Recognition programs Generous discounts on PPG products via our company‑owned store network About Us Here at PPG, we make it happen, and we are looking for candidates of the highest integrity who share our values.
