Make a meaningful difference to an older person’s life apply to become an Aged Care Volunteer Visitor in the Whittington and Moolap regions. Volunteering with Elder Rights Australia helps improve the health and wellbeing of older Victorians. It also provides an opportunity to gain personal satisfaction, contribute your talents, and develop new skills. What’s involved? Visit an older person at least fortnightly (weekly preferred) Engage in varied activities suitable for both, such as playing a game, chatting, a gentle walk, reading, or listening to music Engage, communicate, and receive support from your program officer Complete simple monthly surveys About you Must be 18+. A genuine interest in easing loneliness in older people. Empathy and compassion. Ability to actively listen and engage with older people. Maintenance of clear boundaries and confidentiality. Reliability, flexibility, and confidence to work independently without direct supervision; ability to seek support as required. Benefits to you Improved self‑confidence and self‑esteem.
