Join to apply for the Allied Health Clinician role at Alfred Health About Us Ngamai Wilam is a newly built 12‑bed residential eating disorder treatment facility in Armadale, opened July 2025. Jointly funded by the Australian Federal Government and the Victorian Government, this specialist statewide service will be managed by Alfred Health. About the Role As an Allied Health Clinician (Social Worker or Occupational Therapist) at Ngamai Wilam, you will play a key role supporting individuals on their recovery journey within a residential eating disorder program. Responsibilities include: Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and collaboratively develop goal‑oriented care plans. Deliver evidence‑informed therapeutic interventions to support individuals with eating disorders and co‑occurring mental health challenges. Work autonomously within a small, supportive team with direct access to leadership and clinical expertise. Collaborate closely with nurses, peer workers, dietitians, and lived‑experience practitioners in a multidisciplinary environment. Contribute to service development and innovation, ensuring best‑practice care for participants. Qualifications & Experience For Occupational Therapists: Bachelor of Applied Science (OT) or equivalent, AHPRA registration required. For Social Workers: Approved Social Work degree, eligible for AASW membership. Passion for working with individuals experiencing eating disorders and commitment to recovery‑oriented practice. Experience or strong interest in eating disorders across hospital, community, or specialised programs (desirable). Postgraduate qualifications or working towards (desirable). Experience in residential or mental health settings (desirable). Strong understanding of the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 and relevant legislation.
