Social Worker Team Leader at Calvary Health Care Location: Kogarah, NSW, Australia (2217) Employment Type: Full‑time, Permanent Seniority Level: Mid‑Senior Salary: $56.68 – $58.52 per hour (approx. $75,000 – $80,000 annually) Closing Date: Dec About the Role The Team Leader will provide operational direction, lead, guide and manage the Social Work Rehabilitation Team across Calvary Health Care Kogarah (CHCK). The position facilitates the implementation of high levels of clinical expertise to provide high quality care to patients/clients and their carers, consistent with Calvary, NSW Ministry of Health and relevant South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards. The role contributes directly to the development of policy, with consideration of the strategic context. Responsibilities & Expectations Provide operational direction and leadership for the Social Work Rehabilitation Team. Implement high levels of clinical expertise in line with organisational and health district standards. Contribute to policy development while considering the strategic context. Ensure effective resource management, staff development and continuous improvement of services. Maintain high standards of patient/client care, advocacy and service evaluation. Qualifications & Experience Qualifications in accordance with Sub‑Schedule A of the NSW (Non‑Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Professional and Associated Staff Agreement 2022 for Social Worker and eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers. Extensive clinical experience within Social Work rehabilitation. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team and apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgment in complex or critical situations. Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes, applying evidence‑based practice to enhance clinical outcomes. Excellent negotiation, decision‑making and advocacy skills, with a constructive and collaborative approach to diverse stakeholders. High‑level guidance and strategic management of staff, resources and services, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Alignment with the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah.
